Evolution of a Project - Belgium Pavilion on ReactionGrid - Part 6

Haven't had much time since the last post on February 18, but today I was able to spend a couple hours adding the black marble texture to the walls of the main hall and to put some tile down on and get rid of that basic wood floor.

Unfortunately, the only photo I have is one from the "Architect's Digest" which was scanned and sent to me this past week. As you can see, there is not a lot of detail in the photo.

I took some liberties (as usual) with the floor but did try to make something that looks like the center design walkway.

I sent an e-mail to one of the museums in Belgium hoping to find a lead on the tapestries that hung in the Pavilion. I'm sure that someone, somewhere has color photos of them.

Perhaps they are still around, possibly hanging in a museum somewhere in the United States or Belgium.

For those of you on ReactionGrid, there is a World's Fair meeting on Friday, March 5, at 2pm (PST) in the upstairs East meeting room in the New York City Building.

... much more to come.
