1939 Westinghouse Time Capsule

Three new main pages have been added to the Westinghouse page sub-menu:

1. The Time Capsule
2. Capsule Contents
3. Display Case

1. The Time Capsule: This is a brief description of the capsule along with a photo of the contents of the replica capsule.

2. Capsule Contents: An accordion panel expands to show the contents of the Capsule in the 5 major categories:

• Small Articles of Common Use
• Textiles and Materials
• Miscellaneous Items
• An Essay in microfilm
• Newsreel

There is an icon on 37 of the items which when clicked will pop-up a window containing a photo and more information about that item.

3. The Display Case: This is a re-creation of one face of the Time Capsule Case and contains many of the items that were on display. Hover over the item for a short item ID. Both the alternate tag and title tag were used in the code so the ID should show in all browsers.

Clicking on the object will open a window with an image and more information about that item. We have tried to obtain photos of the actual items from the case, but when that wasn't possible, we used items that were similar and from the same time period.
