Rebuilding the '39 NY World's Fair

A project to re-create the 1939 New York World's Fair is currently underway in Virtual Reality. Although not open to the public yet, building of the Fair's Theme Center, the Trylon and Perisphere is under way.

We are looking for help with any photos, plans, or other information about the T & P, and the show held inside the Perisphere titled, "Democracity". If you have something and would like to contribute to the project, please e-mail me at 1939NYWF@PMPhoto.to

The Administration Building is well underway, hopefully this will be used as a temporary meeting place for the people from all over the world involved in the re-construction of the Fair.
(left) is a photo of the Admin. Building at the Fair. There were some offices to the left-rear and there was a restaurant to the right, which was used by the public after Perilon Hall was closed.

Here are some photos of what has been constructed in the Open Simulator. The building is not complete but close enough to share.

The exterior is to the left, and two interior photos are below. The six white panels tell the story of the Theme Center and a little about the Fair, while the remaining panels show several of the posters used for advertising.

As the project continues, I will post additional photos here on the blog.

Again, if you have something about the Fair you would like to share, please contact me. Thank you.
