To New Horizons - GM Futurama (1940)

Welcome to the 1939 New York World's Fair Blog.

Most of what I add to the blog will relate to what's going on with the World's Fair Tour on my site. If you haven't visited, I hope you do and then let me know if you enjoyed it, and what I can do to make it better.

In 1940 General Motors released a film titled "To New Horizons". It was filmed inside the Futurama exhibit, and as with the exhibit, it looks to the future of "1960". I have added a link on the main General Motors page so you can view the free film on the Archives.com site. Here is link to my General Motors page.

I am hoping that in 2009 the site grows - offering more for everyone to enjoy. If you have photos, stories, or information about the 1939 NY World's Fair, I hope you share it with me so I can in turn, add it to the web.

I make no money from the site, except for the sale of one of my books or items in the Gift Shop, so I can't pay you for your submission. However, I will give credit to the source of the photos and stories.

There are some exciting things in the wind and I'll post updates to this blog as develop.

My intention is make the site one of the best resources for the 1939 NY World's Fair and in doing so, preserve the photos and stories for future generations.
